THE FINAL JOURNAL
Finally, we are in the final stretches of the semester. Almost done with all the homework and all the essays and all the other stuff for other classes I have to. For this final learning journal our dear teacher has asked us to answer a few questions which I am grateful for. So here we go, lets get started with these prompts and finish up the semester strong. The first question is: How do you think images are used in Social Media? I think images are used specifically in social media to catch attention and stand out but also to tell a story in a more engaging and memorable way. I guess another reason people use images would also be to showcase products. In this same paragraph I will skip question 2 and answer 3 as well which I have done (you all are so smart).
The next question is a broad topic on that of fake images. Recently, artificial intelligence technology has developed to a point where you can ask it any question and it will generate almost any response depending on the morality that the developers implemented. Recently people have been using this artificial intelligence to generate "deepfake" images. These images can range from anything innocent such as making a scene where the past 3 presidents are gaming together to adult like nature. My main concerns are people looking to hurt others could use deepfakes to make a story that is well detailed but utterly untrue and ruin someone's life.
Now time to speak on the cesspool that is TikTok. I utterly hate TikTok and everything on there. It is a cesspool of narcissistic people and absolute fools recording themselves doing the most idiotic things for views. I have said many times before that with the rise of TikTok, mental illness has risen dramatically in the United States. That is all I will go on for now about that idiotic app. Instagram I don't really care about and it is a lot more tamed. For the title of best photo sharing app, I would have to give it to Instagram, Instagram compared to a lot of other apps is popular and the community is a lot more tame and mature.

ReplyDeleteI can see that you do not like TikTok. I can agree with some issues you have with the social media, but I want to add that there is also more to that social media. Not all the videos have the same purposes or outcomes. There are some videos about nature, cooking recipes, the music industry, and much more topics that can be useful or helpful! Will you agree with me that TikTok is not entirely an idiotic app?
