Assignment 3 | Time Diary
MY TIME DIARY AND WHY MY PERSONAL LIFE AND SOCIAL MEDIA USAGE IS BEING INTRUDED ON BY MY PEERS
BY SANTOS NWACHUKWU
So here I am writing another journal. Well not a journal but a time dairy. A time diary, commonly referred to as a time log or time tracking journal, is a tool used to keep track of your daily activities. It entails recording your actions and the length of time spent on each activity, usually in 15- or 30-minute increments.
It's basically for those who want to better understand their time management practices, uncover time-wasting behaviors such as staring at SnapChat all day waiting for the text you know isn't going to come, and make changes to increase their productivity and efficiency such as actually studying for our USF midterms. Most people (who have time) may find a time diary to be a useful tool.
And this time I've got to write about how much time I spend on my screen. Well its quite simple, I barely spend time on social media in anyway shape or form. However the application that I did spend the most time on was Social Media. Do you belong to the select group of people who use their screens less frequently than goldfish? You should be proud of yourself because you have reached the pinnacle of self-control, something the rest of us (not me) ordinary mortals can only hope for. You are out there enjoying your life (not me, still studying), experiencing the real world, and creating memories that don't include a blue light filter while the rest of us are hooked to our computers for hours at a time, browsing through social media, binge-watching Netflix, and getting lost in YouTube rabbit holes.
Now then, According to Time Check on my Samsung Note 10, I had 3 hours of SnapChat time for the entire week which was my highest used social media time by about 1 hour and 45 min. I only use Snapchat so that I can message my friends and family.
